Edinburgh Farmers’ Market

The Edinburgh Farmers’ Market takes place on Saturdays at Castle Terrace under the spectacular backdrop of Edinburgh Castle.

 

Listed by Lloyd Grossman as one of the World’s Best Farmers’ Markets and now in it’s 18th year, we have a huge variety of fresh local produce from over 40 specialist producers. Edinburgh’s original farmers’ market is also the only market in Scotland accredited by FARMA so the majority of stallholders grow or rear what they sell.

  • Farm To Fork

    Farm to Fork took place in St Andrew Square Garden on Tuesday, June 23rd 2015 to mark the 15th birthday of the award-winning Edinburgh Farmers Market in Scotland’s Year of Food and Drink. Over 8,000 people joined us to celebrate the market’s anniversary and the abundance of top quality local produce showcased by the fantastic talent we have in our city chefs.

    On offer were delicious lunches prepared with inspiring ingredients straight from the market by chefs Neil Forbes (of Café St Honore), Mark Greenaway (of Restaurant Mark Greenaway); Suzanne O’Connor (of Victor and Carina Contini Ristorante) and Dale Mailley and Edward Murray (from The Gardener’s Cottage).

    A mini-market was also a big part of the day, with select producers offering fresh baked goods, organic vegetables, organic meats, artisan chocolates and more. Entertainment was provided on the day by a traditional Scottish folk band. Special Guests at Farm to Fork included The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall (The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay as they are known in Scotland).
